Meeting MP Lee Barron

A visit from our MP!

On Tuesday 1st October MP Lee Barron came to the Souster Youth Hub to meet the team and see a bit of our work.

We were delighted to welcome MP Lee Barron to our Tuesday Drop-In Session, where he had the chance to see the young people enjoying themselves—hanging out, playing games, snacking, and bringing energy to our safe space. Bex (center), who leads the Drop-In, shared her inspiring vision and how much the initiative has grown under her leadership over the past few years. Tim (right), the director of Souster Youth, further elaborated on the organisation's mission, highlighting the additional support we provide to local schools, churches, and youth leaders.

Lee met with Young people from the Drop-In who were also able to ask him important political questions such as “what do you think of the STAUNCH campaign?” and “Do you like pineapple on your pizza?”. Young people loved meeting Lee Barron.
