Coronavirus update

We are facing a time of unprecedented challenges and change. But here at Souster Youth we remain committed to supporting young people in our local communities. Read on for more information about what’s happening and how you can get involved.

Our work in schools

Due to the coronavirus outbreak and school closures our regular activities in schools are not possible at this time. But the pressures young people are facing have not disappeared. In fact, many young people are now facing even greater challenges of cyberbullying, isolation, difficult relationships at home and anxiety for the future, without the usual pastoral support systems.

We are offering limited online support groups for young people who need them. Group sessions are facilitated by two members of our trained team and take place once per week for 30 minutes. Parental consent must be provided to take part. If you know a young person in need of support do get in touch.

The Way (youth group)

The Way is our Thursday after-school hangout for young people in Thrapston. We play games, eat together and experience ways in which the teachings of Jesus offer practical steps for making life work. During this time we will be meeting online (minus the food!) and details will be emailed to parents. If your young person is interested in joining us, please get in touch with Tim using the link below.
